Gateways
The Gateways Photo Series is a project which I was working on towards my first year project at university. This work comprises of me looking into the everyday life of the underground and a service in which we have relied on so heavily since its construction in the mid-1800s. The photo series looks at the underground as a whole and the different aspects within it, aspects which many of us overlook on a day-to-day basis and features which have been handcrafted which we have merely forgotten about, Gateways captures the whole experience from looking at the different architectural elements/features on the tube, to the people which we travel with and the tube stock which we rely on so heavily when we want to get from one place to the next. I feel that the work I have produced has shown me to a part of photography which I had little experience with before and its defiantly an experience in which I have deeply enjoyed during this time.
